learnenglishwithafrica.com is an online platform that provides creative written, audio, video and graphic content for learners and teachers of English around the world. We use the African way of teaching languages which involves rich stories, vivid emotions and striking imagery.
Some of the content can be accessed freely without registration. However, you need a yearly paid subscription in order to have access to the rest of the content.
What type of services do we offer?
We offer different types of learning and teaching materials that are inspired by the emotional and physical vibrancy of the African content.
When you visit our website, you may:
- read short stories in different levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced
- Study grammar
- Learn vocabulary
- Do quizzes
- Listen to audio documents
- Watch videos
- Fill out different types of forms
- Download worksheets, audio documents or videos for personal or classroom use only
- Buy e-books directly in our store. Note that you can also buy Kindle and paperback books on our Amazon page.

learnenglishwithafrica.com‘s goal is to transform students from passive learners to active ones. We want students to see that English grammar and vocabulary are mere tools that give us the power and ability to communicate and create.

How can you subscribe to our website?
You can subscribe to our different courses and content on the ‘Subscribe‘ page.
You need to fill out a form and provide us with information that will allow us to:
- Identify you: Login information, first name, last name, billing address, occupation, interests
- Contact information: Email address, telephone number, billing address
- Payment method: PayPal, Credit card, or bank account transfer. Do note that we never store your credit card information on our servers. Stripe or PayPal, our financial providers, keep your information safe behind a firewall.
Make sure that the information you give us is true, accurate and complete. Do not worry though. If you have made a mistake, or you need to give us more details, you can modify your personal data once your account has been created through the ‘Your Account’ tab on your user dashboard on the website.
The subscription fee is now 45 Euros. It is a yearly subscription. The payment is upfront meaning that you will have access to the full content once you have paid and we have received a confirmation of payment.
This is a one-time subscription, meaning that your subscription will run for one year until you renew it again with a new payment.
Remember that discounts obtained from coupons only apply for 12 months. Expect to pay the full amount when you renew your subscription the following year.
You can only have one account and you cannot share your login information with anyone for safety reasons. Besides, you are solely responsible for what happens under your account.
What can you do with your account?
On your user dashboard, you have four tabs that enable you to accomplish certain tasks in relation to your subscription.
- HOME: When you click on this tab, you can view, edit and update your personal details.
- SUBSCRIPTIONS: Here, you can view the status of your current subscription and know the exact expiry date.
- PAYMENTS: This tab allows you to see if your payment is complete. You can also see your method of payment and you can see the exact date when the payment was done and cancel your subscription. You also have the number of your invoice.
- LOGOUT: You can click on this tab to disconnect temporarily from the service. However, you can have access to the website again by signing in through the “Login” tab on the HOMEPAGE.
Once you are logged in, you have access to all the content on the website. You can do all the activities and leave comments if you wish.
Teachers can freely use the content with their students but they are not allowed to publish it in any form without our consent. Commercialisation of our content is also strictly forbidden. Please contact us at info@learnenglishwithafrica.com for further enquiries.
How can you make the most of your subscription?
There are a few steps you need to take in order to benefit fully from your subscription.
- Make sure that you have a good internet connection
- It is best to use a computer to view the content. However, you can also use mobile phones or tablets in order to access the lessons or short stories.
- If you are a student, create a routine that will help you to keep on track and not lose motivation.
- Do the tasks that you are asked to do as they help you to keep focused and they also encourage you to be creative.
- Use a unilingual or bilingual dictionary in order to understand new words. This will also help you to actively build your vocabulary.
What are you not allowed to do on the website?
This online platform is mainly dedicated to the learning and teaching of English. Therefore, there are activities that you cannot clearly do while accessing the content.
To sum up, you cannot do the following things:
- Share your account with anyone even if it is for personal use
- Have multiple accounts
- Post comments that are hateful or indecent
- Inject viruses, malware or malicious scripts into the website
- Tamper with our systems and the security of the website as a whole
- Copy or download material in order to publish it elsewhere, rent it, sell it or commercialise it in some manner.
We reserve the right to terminate your account without any notice or refund if we notice any misconduct and breaches of these Terms of Service.
Additionally, in case of misuse of your account, you agree to indemnify learnenglishwithafrica.com from any and all claims, demands, losses, costs and expenses arising out of or in connection with your access, link to or use of this website.
Can you cancel your subscription?
Yes, you can on your user dashboard. Nevertheless, in the event of cancellation, you will still be able to view the content until the expiry date.
For example, if you subscribed on October 10th, 2021 and decided to cancel your subscription in January 2022, you will continue having access to our website until October 10th, 2022. Thereafter, we will delete you account and we will no longer charge you for our services.
Do you get a refund after cancellation?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any refunds after you cancel your subscription. However, as mentioned earlier, you will still be able to enjoy the use of the website until the expiry date.
Besides, 45 Euros per year is a small charge compared to the vast resources you might have access to on the website. We deem it fair not to issue refunds considering the chargeback fees and administrative costs we will incur while processing your refund.
What happens when you buy an e-book in our store?
Our website learnenglishwithafrica.com offers you the possibility to buy e-books through the “Books” tab on the HOMEPAGE.
You will be asked to fill a form with your personal details and method of payment. You can make use of a coupon code if you have one to take advantage of any discounts.
Coupon codes have a limited lifespan so use them when they are valid.
We send you the e-book in PDF format. You have six days to download the documents. Afterwards, the links will expire! We will not resend the e-book after the expiry of the link.
Lastly, once you have the link to the files, do not share the link or the files with anyone.
Can I get a refund for an e-book purchase?
Once you have bought the book, you may not like it or you may regret your action. This is normal and we understand your predicament.
However, we do not issue refunds for the purchase of e-books considering the electronic nature of the product.
Hence, think carefully before buying because all sales are final.
